It's a great high damage spec weapon and it's cheap. Before I had an SGS I used the crystal halberd for basically any slayer task where the npc size was 2x2. I used it for greater/black demons, gargoyles, bloodvelds etc. You can use it at site in addition to where others have said.

If you need to use void or have some reason where you can't wear the full crystal helm, body, and legs, the BowFa won't be nearly as good. So it's better than BP and crossbows at gwd, CoX, and on slayer tasks. Pretty similar to bp at hydra, but free to use. Useless in ToB and at zulrah.
